Thumbs up Another one

Greetings All,
I just bought an 80 300SD rustbucket with a factory motor from 1998. I have the original repair bill showing $6593.40 for the engine alone. A new speedo was installed at that time and now shows 37K on the motor. You can still see the anodize plating on many of the parts including the ip, turbo and pre-chambers. The engine #617-010-93-00-88 was installed in VIN #11612012022389. I didn't get the numbers off the rebuild plate but it is on the block just above the waterpump. I've never seen a 617 start like this. 22 degrees this morning. 3 seconds glow, bump the key and she's idling without so much as a puff of smoke! Not too shabby for 100 miles since 2003. This is going in my 78 240d 4 sp California peach I started on a couple years ago. More on that later... Thanks EVERYBODY for all your help over the years. Maybe I can give something back now that I'm actually making progress.
Thanks, Dave
