Indeed. Can say the same about my first '87 300D. Got t-boned by an 04 Ford Explorer at 55 mph. Spun my car around 180 and threw it 20 feet away from the road. Passenger side from the rear door aft smashed in past the wheel. All I got was a set of bruised ribs from being thrown over the flip-down armrest, and was able to start the car and DRIVE it up to the wrecker.
Air bags saved the other gent from serious injury, but that Explorer was toast.
