You can pull the AC codes using the CCU (HVAC display) on the dash. That is at least a starting point of what the problem originated with.

Make certain you you the correct trans fluid. Safest bet is to use MB's fluid for the 722.6 or 722.9 trans. Febi, shell and mobil also have approved fluids now.
