Thanks for looking Graham. I had some time today so I removed my dizzy and trigger points. My TP's looked worn and old compared to the other set I have. They were constructed different, the newer ones had lubrication arms and pads my original did not. Not sure if it was removed or just that way, and no covers.
I replaced them , retimed ( by ear) , checked dwell and such and I must say performs better, quicker acceleration and the miss is better but not gone. I dont think it is the TPS (since it is at idle ) and now think its not the trigger points, although the new set has helped. I guess it could be the ECU or injectors, not sure the MPS has much to do at idle. my injectors have been redone, only have 5000 miles on them
Anyone care to venture a guess?
