That's simply incorrect.

To illustrate, I went into the EPC with the VIN for my US SL500. I went to #23 129 910 16 46, (Cover, Leather). I opened the color footnoote to get the suffix for the color.

See attached image. Note the "as of" number.

I'm not sure what the aftermarket people are calling this, or what the sales brochures say, but if you go to a dealer for parts for this color, you will get Mushroom sometimes referenced as Champignon.
