They used to use them for pulling carts for milk delivery 50+ years ago.
There is an old stable her on the farm, we are always finding old horse shoes, they are that big they could have only come from a clydey.
Great animal, you may need a set of steps if you want to get up on it to ride!
In the country near here there are several tourist businesses that hire out camper carts pulled by them for people to have slow traveling holidays! Yes they make a 240D look fast!!!
