Well I finally got the call just short of 3 years and it's finally done. 240D with a OM617.910 with new bearings, rods, turbocharger, 4 speed manual, 300D flywheel, 3.69, A/C and all.
My wife and I are considering driving from LA to Atlanta (2200 miles) next week on a car which hasn't been fully road tested. Thoughts? Go for it? Too ambitious? Just ship it?
Any places recommended places to visit? I am trying to avoid severe weather as well but there's not much that can be done about that.
