springs for your c36

you can get a lot heavier genuine springs from Mercedes, they come with different colour bands. they work out the weight of your car and then match that to the colour coded springs!

some cars were really heavily loaded with extras!

mine is a light weight c36 it only has air con, cruise and leather seats!

i will get the next weight of springs up which is the yellow band, these are fitted to the electric seats model and can take more weight! but there is another two bands above this, so they get thicker and heavier!

makes sense to get the original parts for this car, especially they are not that expensive either! in the uk they are 48 pounds + vat which is around 240 quid for the set of 4 for all original amg spec parts!

each to their own i prefer the auto boxes on these! as fitted to the 500e which takes 346lb/ft of torque (well torque converter is the same). just had mine refurbished, need to adjust the modulator for maxium kick!

yeh and flex discs seem to go quite easily on these standard c36 cars with out putting more power through them. mine is pushing over 300lb/ft of torque at 3500 revs.

our petrol is 99 octane rated! car was originally mapped for 97

but i got an lpg conversion and put more gas through which is rated at 103 octane. (slightly less energy than petrol, so i just up the pressure a bit on the map ) get about 10% more power than standard with an high air flow filter.

car is fast enough for me really!
