Never seen a magnified mirror on a new car. But I think we might be confusing two different things/mirrors/terms convex vs. magnified. The magnified mirror is flat. You won't see "vehicles are closer than they appear" written on the magnified mirrors. In fact, vehicles are farther away in reality, giving the driver more room than the mirror would suggest. I think its neat, but not sure if its OE (Been trying to determine that for a few years now).
