Yeah - what Jim said. The cam marks should be aligned with the TDC indicator at zero, if the chain is new and perfect. It is more likely to indicate 3-4 degrees off from TDC at the crank (BTDC, I think.) Ignore the cam marks and use the TDC indicator to install the IP. If you can, try setting the pump to 14 ATDC (1 degree advanced, and at the far side of spec), this may provide a slight performance increase.
