I took the alternator to the local parts shop (Autozone) to have it tested and it is putting out all of 6 to 8 volts. Haha I guess it is bad. I pulled the regulator (brushes). How do I tell if they are bad? Should I submit a picture here? My alternator is a 70amp Bosch. Perhaps someone could point me towards a 90amp or 120amp (I think the Volkswagen Corrado came with a 120amp Bosch). Can these more powerful alternators be fitted to my 190e?
