Yes, the springs are starting to rust and sometime soon should crack apparently.

So far the SLS hasn't given me any troubles; works fine and based on my service records from the PO it's never been worked on in its 23 year, 217,000 mile service. Maybe I'm lucky or maybe I just jynxed myself

It seems to me that 5 hours in labor to remove and replace the springs is a little much (considering its $118 an hour at the dealer).

But is the front the same as the back? It sure looks it to me, but I'd rather be certain before I dive in head first.
