It is a 2004 E320.

As for bad mouthing here is what the read out states.
The wipers do not work, the driver's seat does not work, the mirrors do not work, the brake lights, back up lights and turn signal's do not work and other such items. All according to the read out check.

Yet, everyone of these items works fine.

He had no prior knowledge of the car until he plugged in his reader.
As he started reading it he stated, "The battery has been replaced" and I said yes, by the dealer.
He then told me they did not properly reboot the computer after putting in the battery except for the things that would not actually work and that was typical of techs because those things will work whether the computer thinks so or not.
He was explaining what was required and what I did not need to bother paying him for but it was my choice.

As for the A-B service when I asked him what he would charge he laughed and said the A was an oil change I can do myself and most of the B was also just looking at stuff and not worth it. Even the flush of the injectors could be avoided with occasional dropping in a bottle of good FI cleaner.

I will not put 3K a year on this car and do want to maintain it as well as is reasonable.
$240.00 for an oil change and checking my fluid levels, rotating my tires and dropping a bottle of injector cleaner is not, IMO, reasonable

$540.00 for the B is even less reasonable but I bought a 2004 because I don't have the money some here have and by all means if you have extra $ why not feel better about giving extra to the dealer for peace of mind.

My tech will do that valve tomorrow. he asked me to leave it and is giving me his personal car to drive for the day.
I will let you know what he did, said and what it cost me and appreciate the second opinions which I may not always agree with but am grateful for as I know you make them with good faith
