It's easy to forget that there are dry places.
80's cars aren't rare here, they just tend to be rusty.

There are plenty of show cars around. Maybe it's a rural thing.

The daily drivers, if they have some years on them are going to rust.
I have a '73 VW Camper that was rust-free a couple of years ago. Now, I need to start all over again with the sheet metal and mig welder.

I do see a decent-looking Chevette around sometimes though.
