If you are asking about whether there is an issue of chipping the car and it having an effect on reliability well, that's certainly an issue with an older car. If other parts of your drivetrain (tranny, flex joints, diff) are tired and already on the verge of failure then this will advance their demise. But if your car is otherwise well maintained it will not be an issue as these cars are built to handle more power than the chipped version of these engines put out.

Speedtuning is not far from where you are located (according to your sig) - you can go there and Oli will set you up while you wait. This is the single best money you will spend on your OM606 if you like a little more umph when you drive.
