If you don't have a factory CIS system I would not do a fresh install. There are better options if your car didn't come from the factory with CIS. I think the system works great when everything is close to perfect. Honestly, I still love the old Bosch mechanical fuel injection system like the 6.3's, 600's, and early Porsche 911's. Lots of moving parts to wear but when setup well it's very enjoyable to drive a car with it working perfectly. That system runs super smoothly, delivers great power, and has really nice throttle response, much better than CIS in my opinion.

Give Larry a call. He knows CIS inside and out, has some not readily available Bosch factory reference manuals, all the proper test equipment, He's also a good guy and he's easy to work with. Having the system on my 6.9 was worrysome until I found Larry. Almost no one has the knowledge, experience, and equipment to service the WUR and FD. That was not an easy problem to solve.

Hope these helps.

Tom
