Need a bit of info

OK folks, no one wants my '74 280C, and I can't bring myself to scrap it. Not crazy about parting a 21,000 mile car (rust and all), so I've decided to put a bit of effort in an at least get it running. Then I'll decide what to do with it.

It is an M110 carburated I6. I put a battery in it, cleaned the points, bypassed the switchgear and put a bit of gas down the carb. Fired right up. Won't run on the crap in the tank (disconnected the fuel line to the carb first).

So, it's alive. Water in the radiator and oil in the engine. Next stop is draining the fuel tank and getting the fuel pump working. I have no manual - I assume it is the usual MB inline Bosch pump? I've had a 450SL and two 280SE models (all '73s) so I am familiar with that setup. As I write this I'm realizing the carb may not use the same fuel delivery as the d-jet. Where is the pump? Electric? I did not notice an engine-driven pump...

Anyone?
