Not sure what year they changed from a fixed tensioner to an automatic one. I think that one has an automatic tensioner.

Any way, look below the water pump pulley, and you will see a flat pulley. From memory you need to put a socket on the end of this and turn it anti clock wise and it will release tension.

I suggest confirming this though, as it has been a while since my E320 left the garage.
