Whoa!! Great going guys. I thought I was alone with my 87 260E. It has 209K mi on it right now but oil pressure is rock solid and starts just as advertised, AC is cold and I just licked my clunking noise problem (loose battery and shocks). There was a time when I considered dumping it but I held on to my workhorse. Despite the age, I still get questions and inquiries about it. My goal right now is to make the half-million mile mark. These are some of the things I've done:

-R/R rear diff mounts (I fabricated tools from home depot)
-R/R struts/shocks (The most expensive so far)
-R/R steering damper
-R/R shifter bushings
-R/R flex discs and center support/bearing

I could not have done it without the help of this forum. Thanks guys.
