95 300d om606 non turbo no fuel at injector

hi guys,

i am stumped..........

car has 212k miles and i had starting issues for a while 3 weeks or so, and also which i think is best desribed as a dead pedal for a while.

like you push it in 40% and nothing happened after that eventually it came to live. it sounded like fuel starvation which it turned out to be but that wasnt all................

so today i installed a new filter and verified i had good fuel flow into the ip. then i was going for a test drive, i made it out of my driveway but only to my next door neighbor, then it stalled and no more restart. so had to push the beast back home, no fun.

so, i do not have any leaks whatsoever, all upgraded with viton, delivery valves etc. i took the line which feeds the ip off to check, and there is plenty of fuel going into the ip, yet it still wont start...........

so at my witts end i cracked an injector and voila no fuel coming out. aha, but what the heck ????? no wonder it wont start anymore

is my sov bad ?? or whatelse could it be ?? and where is the sov located. the attached pic is what i believe the pump i have, but i am not 100% certain.

just now i looked at what my pump, it does not seem to be idendical.

on the back it has this brownish round thingie like in the pic, it has 2 wires connected to it.

then going forward a golden round something with no wires or anything attached to that i can see, but it looks different to the one in the pic. this might be the altitude compensator.

further forward a roundish black plastic looking gizmo which has a vacuum line attached to it. this might be the sov.

or the sov is maybe the thing in the back, brownish with 2 wires attached.

oh, also i should mention the car has about 50k veggie miles.

greets

reiner
