I just noticed the ALDA still has the cap on it. usually a black one, haven`t seen a red one before.
so you have a virgin unmolested car. I would take pictures of the engine bay as it is now, how all the vac lines run to each component. then maybe these could be added to the section at the top in the stickies for future referance for other 85 owners. the 85 expecially the Cali model, is set up a little different.
maybe even from the under side showing how the starter and trap are mounted.
Yeah the Chrome fender trim looks nice, but can harbor rust, or can be a sponning ground for it. maybe pull it off for a check, and wash out any dirt. If you remove it, there will still be the holes in the body from the screws.
check to see if rust has started in the screw holes. maybe treat with POR to seal the raw edge where the holes were drilled. Iam sure the hles were just drilled w/o treating the bare metal in the hole area.
You really have a beautiful car, the chrome trim with the dark color looks nice. I like Chrome, more the better.

Look through the PNP`s for a nice set of Chrome cowel vents.
New cars are so,,,,,,,,,,,,Blaw, yuk, plain Jane.
