The bolts are torx head and really difficult to get at,unfortunatly it is a common leak on these old cars on my wagon(603 eng) i had to take the pump off to do the job.The one on my sedan(602 eng) is leaking a little and so is the one on my sons sedan.No parts will fall out but a surprising amount of oil will! The seal was hard and brittle and there is no groove to fit it into it just fits around a raised part of the cover and i think if you do manage to get the cover off without removing the pump you will have to glue the seal to the cover to get it to stay in place while you reassemble.
