Just fired one off:
Quote:
Mr. Lateer,
I’m very disappointed to see an increase in Febi products showing China as the country of origin. Febi/Bilstein has been a brand that German car owners have relied on in the past to provide high-quality replacement parts for the cars that we love.
As a Mercedes 123-chassis driver, many of the suspension and mounting assemblies on these cars are all needing replacement. When our enthusiast groups start to see inferior Chinese products infiltrate the parts supply stream for our esteemed automobiles, we start searching for other suppliers. We also tell everyone that we know not to buy from companies that make such a poor business decision.
More and more companies will soon see the error of their ways when attempting to shave manufacturing costs by shifting to China for cheap knock-offs. I assure you, I am not the last person who will voice this concern.
Thank you,
Andrew Johnson
