If you are going to remove the intake, a good cleaning maybe in order to prevent more soot/sludge from clogging the lines again. There is some discussion about this elsewhere. Some you can some you cant. I got the ALDA off (flopping around) but there is not enough clearence to get it out of the nut it sits in.
