Car from the future.... nice!
I can tell the future, I probably should have mentioned

haha, thanks for catching that, I meant June 2010!

Thanks for linking the ODO fix Charlie, I hope to get on that right away.

Keep it waxed..Do a 3 step on it. It will look like a new car..
Believe me, I can't wait to get cracking on a full detail. Detailing is another hobby of mine, so she will get the full treatment!

have you checked for rust? I like to pull battery tray & lay rubber down clean out the drains & enjoy!
I checked pretty thoroughly for rust, although I didn't get to pull carpet or anything. It has been a garage queen its whole life, so I'm crossing my fingers when I actually get into the car that I won't find too much.

Where are you in Washington State? I've fixed my odometer, and would be happy to show you what i've learned about them.
Thanks Kurt, that would be awesome. I'm in Bellingham right now, soon to be in Gig Harbor again, though.

Looks like the girlfriend may be as rare of a find as the car! ("in love with vintage MBs")

I would have a hard time turning that car over to my GF

GF sounds like a keeper.
Yes, she is a keeper. Hard to find a girl who can appreciate great cars these days. Proposal is in the works
