Exactly. I forget the guys name, but that is exactly what happened to the white supremacist guy who robbed the Brinks truck and hid on an island in Washington before a long standoff with police. To my knowledge, there are ceremonies, "holidays" and stuff honoring the guy as a martyr. Pretty strange stuff.
