The way carat 3.6 did it, is so much WIN. Complete top half of a CIS M104 with the bottom half of C36...nice. By the time you sell the extras from the C36 donor engine, the project is half paid for. Then it just drops in with easy harness/ecu change. I'd say it's at least 1/4 the cost of turbos/custom m103 with none of the headache and STOCK Mercedes reliability. I am starting to collect parts soon. I don't envision paying more than $2,000 total with careful parts sourcing
