I had the valve guide seals replaced about 30K miles ago (at about 77K miles) on my 91 300 TE, which reduced the oil consumption from about 8 quarts in the first 7K miles of use to what is now about 1.2 quarts per about 3K miles between oil changes. A nice improvement.
