22K hours was the TT a friend I grew up with accumulated at age 56 when he quit at Continental. He flew 22 yrs. for them; DC9 and 737. Ending his career as a Captain. (737 - 700?) He had had enough of commercial piloting he told me.
I was his 1st passenger when we were 21 yr. olds immediately after he got his license. He rented a Cherokee 140 at the Millard Airport near Omaha, and flew to Lincoln NE airport. I had no idea how dangerous it was flying with a new pilot. Flew several times with him as a passenger in various prop aircraft when he was a flight instructor at Martin Aviation in Santa Ana, CA.
