not for checking the chain elongation later...because it is not accurate... EASY and FAST.. yes.. BUT JUNK OUTPUT from the "TEST"....
Of course no method that depends on valve timing, no matter how accurately measured, is going to measure actual chain stretch unless you are sure there is not an offset key fitted. For that you need to pull off the cam gear and take a look!
