I'm not sure what you have against fairness, but that is only part of it anyway. One problem with current tax rates is that they exacerbate our already unbalanced distribution of wealth. It isn't healthy to have so much wealth concentrated in so few.

Right. We got that. The part I am having a hard time following is how raising the top marginal rate from 35% to 39.6% bears any relation to confiscating all the wealth of the super-rich.
