My car was extremely sluggish above 2500 with a very small exhaust leak before the turbo. I would say the the fuel curve will require the air from the turbo for it to perform properly. With that said check for other damage as well. What is you oil pressure now? Have you changed the oil? Is there metal flakes in the oil?
