I don't know what your crankshaft looked like when you replaced the bearings, but I'll tell you a story. A friend of mine in the cesspool business accidentally stalled, or almost stalled, his 1981 Mack. In actuality, it stalled and started up running backwards, but he didn't realize it right away. It spun one rod bearing. His mechanic replaced the one bearing, and the repair lasted several miles. The cure was a "Pedigreed" rebuilt engine- for $18,000.
