And it sounds easy, but when you are pushing that rubber "with a wedge" you will really be stressing that glass.

After reading the FSM on how to remove the glass, I couldn`t find the plastic Harbor Freight set I bought a while back. so run down to Kragans to see if they had some. It was like deer looking into the head lights. you want what?

So next door is OSH (orchard Supply Hardware) and they dont have anything either. they use to have everything until Sears bought them, and now I think K-mart owns them.
my next place was Home Depot, and on the way there, see a Matco tool truck in a parking lot. the guy had exactly what I wanted. now off to PNP.
From the inside at the top, i run the plastic wedge under the rubber to loosen it up. then try to flop the rubber over the pinch weld. I don`t see any way that can happen w/o stressing the glass. maybe I needed 2 of them.
RS899, I finally did what you mentioned, used my razor blade knife and sliced the rubber around the inside. then gently pushed from one side then the other at the top, and the window lifted right out.
Note: I did remove the "C" piller panels and remove the screw from each side for the electrical connection.
The glass was $18.47 and she also charged me for the trim, $9.99. she was going to charge for the rubber gasket, until I told her I cut the rubber to get it out. even then she had to eye ball it real close to make sure I wasn`t trying to stick it to her.
Since I removed the 5-spd from the 190E, I decided to grap the flywheel, and peddles. what a PITA job it is to get the peddles out. the electric seat was forward, and not much room to work standing on my head trying to see under the dash. I remove the trim panel, and there is this black round thing looking like a piece of culvert pipe with styrofoam in the end. what does it do? sure was in the way.
I get the peddles out, and there is a little shaft or peg on the clutch arm that something attaches to and is missing. any one know what would be fasened to it? so I left it, but the next one will be easier.
I didn`t get much today, just the window, FW, trans X mount, w123 door check, window switch, 2 inside chrome door pulls, and the cloth trim around the door openings.
Tomarrow I have to run up to Chico, a 5 hr drive from here. It`s 2 hrs or so, north of Sacramento. my wife is going on a cruise to Alaska with an elderly lady friend of hers for 10 days. so no Picky pull tomarrow

.
I saw something unique and different today, a 54 Chevy 4 door in the yard. not in very good shape, missing the rear fenders, and had some of the mohair seats and head liner. was very rusty, like someone removed the paint, and then let it set outside.
