do you still get black smoke after the spark plug change? i would suggest some aggressive driving to clean out any carbon deposits. the oil smell is probably something else completely as it would not cause a black powdery residue. it could be any number of things but i would suspect an oil leak somewhere. are there any oil spots on the ground?
