Jon here is a link with some pictures of a Euro 300D with the a/c bracket shown from below. In the original installation they put the adjustment linkage on bottom and used the upper fastener as the pivot point. The original bracket bolted to the side of the block. I think there are three bolt holes on the drivers side under the pwr strg pump.
I'm trying to remember which way the engine turns but that may be something to keep in mind in regards to where the adjustment arms are. You don't want the adjustment arms to be taking the side load that the belt will be putting on the compressor. You want the pivot point to do that.
