We send (on average) 10,000 parcel packages a year. We did USPS, UPS, FedEx, USPS for a second time and ended up with UPS again. Every change, except the poor decision to switch to FedEx, was service related rather than financial. For a resident sending or receiving a letter/package or two a month, USPS is probably fine. But the cumulative effect makes the choice more clear. If everything else was equal, and it's not, UPS would still win hands-down for step-by-step tracking and claim service on the rare occasion something occurs.
