Hi all

I have been searching around for this and haven't come up with anything yet.

Here is my situation, my 69 220D smokes like crazy. Sitting at a red light, car in gear and foot on the brake it pumps a cloud out the tail pipe. And anytime you get on it going up a hill, it pumps a cloud out. However just idling in neutral, it produces no smoke and under most cruising conditions it does not smoke.

The engine produces enough power.....it keeps up on the freeway pretty well, even on the hills.

Oil consumption is low
Never did a compression test but it kicked right off during the winter when I needed to move it.

I have done a Diesel purge, no change in smoke.

I saw some posts about injectors but am not sure how to test them.

Any thoughts?
