I do not know if they are similar to the 123s but on my 84 300D when my front Window did not work; after removing the Door Panel I found that there was a Terminal Block at the Bottom of the Door and both of the screws that held the Window Motor Wires where loose.
Tightening them fixe the problem.

If you want to get you Window Closed; again on a 123 the Window Motors are not grounded through the Chassis like a Starter Motor is.
You can connect the Window Motor Wires to a Battery and the Window will go one way. Reversing the connections will cause the Window to go the other direction.
