Well.... another restorable W113 bites the dust.

It was probably cheaper to put a used/rebuilt/remanufactured in a shed OM617 motor and transmission in the car than to properly rebuild the M130 motor and related fuel injection, plus the old fluid coupling transmissions can be very costly to rebuild as well.

Anyone else notice the non working tachometer? Fancy that, since it's cable driven, I guess the new owner can spring some serious coin to convert it to electric and then figure out how to wire it up.

No mention if the underdash a/c works, probably just needs a hose or two and a quickie charge.

Even if the price was right, I don't see the attraction for this Frankenstein. Fuel costs and mpg are going to be about the same as with the M130 drivetrain, and the car is just a bodyshell in the eyes of a purist who might want to buy it later.
