Whether you call it breaking wind or stepping on a duck, if you’re a Marine in Afghanistan, you can’t do it loudly. The Military Times blog Battle Rattle reported this week that a new policy bans Marines from audibly passing gas. Not surprisingly, the story has since been picked up by ABC News, Perez Hilton – even The Best Week Ever, whose writer coined the phrase “Don’t Ask, Don’t Smell.”
