The oil temperature sender on my 81 380sl is leaking, and I was wondering whether it was the sender itself or, maybe, a seal ring.

So I went to the MB EPC, which does show a seal ring along with a footnote 14 which reads exactly like this:

014 Up to Engine
014 962 023639
014 963 042755

Does this mean that only engines between 962 023639 and 963 042755 have the seal ring, or does it mean that engines up to 963 042755 have the seal ring, and since my engine is # 960 12 006209, it doesn't have one?
