As for the footnote, it is referencing two configurations of engines, the 962 and 963 configurations. It is saying the ring is used on configuration 962 from engine serial number 000001 to 023639 and configuration 963 from engine serial number 000001 to 042755.

Your engine is 960 12 006209. That is engine configuration 960, automatic transmission (12), and serial number 006209. So the footnote 014 does not apply to your engine configuration. Either a seal ring is not used, or more likely, there is another part number in the EPC list with or without a footnote that applies to you engine.
