When I purchased my 82 240D, The previous owner had it so far out of whack that it was dangerous to drive. There was even vacuum line hooked up to the ALDA. Valve adjustment and half hour of work and I was driving a different car. Wonder why it didn't sell very fast. Enjoy the ride. I have never had a problem keeping up with traffic in this car, or out running scooters.
