I'm willing to bet that it's either a warped front rotor or a sticking caliper problem.

If your steering wheel shakes / vibrates and your brake pedal pulsates, it's almost certainly a rotor / caliper problem.

My engineer buddy at Mitsubishi Motors U.S.A. tells me that worn out tie rod ends will cause a front vibration problem that can cause your steering wheel to shake. It almost feels like you have a front tire that is slightly out of balance. With a worn out tie rod end, your wheels will actually bounce from side to side, instead of up and down as in the case of an out of balance tire.
