I don't mean to discourage you, but the idea of a pop tester pressurizing the combustion chamber does not seem likely. The volume you pump each time will quickly leak out past the piston, the rings and the valves.

Also, some quick math says that you wont get much more than 100 pounds of force even if you reach 2200psi. Can't you reach that amount manually from the outside?
