Thanks! I have pulled the monovalve completely and there is no flow at all of coolant. I tried to look for a cooling system diagram with some explanation. I found one but it is not very clear. It mentions something about 85F warm up bypass mode. I am wondering if the heater core is bypassed upstream of the monovalve below 85F . In any case, my engine temp was right around there. So I am wondering if it is the auxilary pump? I am not sure where that is located. I have searched around but haven't managed to find anything significant. Just see that some cars have it and some cars do not.

By the way, I hear a gurgling type of noise below the airbox when the engine is running. After the engine stops, the gurgling continues for a little bit and stops!
