Interesting report!!
Testing those vehicles at only 36K mi was clearly premature. They should have done a second test at 50K or 75K mi then reported findings.
Makes me happy I own a Federal version '85 with conventional air filter and no NTO (Nasty Trap Oxidizer).
I'll wager there is a report that was done to study the ULSD fuel that we are paying through the nose for now, thanks to environmental folks
