Hello to all,

I have a 98 C280 which has a new problem. Read all the associated posts but thought I'd give a quick description and see what feed back you guys (or girls) can give. Changed the pulley a few days ago....bad bearings... but when i reassembled the clutch gap was a hair too wide and it would occasionally slip. Since i did not have time to adjust it until this afternoon I figured it could wait until today unfortunately this morning the driver hit the gas full throttle, the ac cut out and It will not engage at all. I tried adjusting the shims but the clutch is not engaging at all. I tried to pull codes and reset but there were no hard codes. I did the clear codes exercise hoping the controller had turned the compressor off but no luck. Mounted I have not been able to get 12v directly to test the engagement and can not see the fuseable link which I'm guessing is burnt through after reading Charles threads. Anyone care to weigh in?
