It's more likely you pulled the boost control line off the overboost control switchover valve on the firewall, it isn't very far from the oil filter.

Check to make sure the white plastic hose from the intake manifold (just about dead center) is connected on both ends, and that everything it connects to has all the bits attached, too -- it goes to the ALDA, the switchover valve, and the blue vacuum amplifier on the fender.
